What you will accomplish

You will ask a focused text or voice question and verify the answer against its available context.

Who can do this

Users with AI Insights and access to Ask can use it on web or mobile.

Before you start

Choose one business question and know the intended track, metric, scope, and time period. Ask only about data you are authorized to access.

Ask with text

1. Select Ask.
2. Enter a specific question that names the metric and time period.
3. Add a rooftop, segment, or comparison when it matters.
4. Submit the question.
5. Read the answer and any cited product-help or data context.
6. Open the relevant track or View to verify an important result.

Ask with voice

1. Open Ask on a supported device.
2. Select the microphone control.
3. Allow microphone access if the operating system asks.
4. Speak one focused question.
5. Stop recording and review the recognized text.
6. Submit only after correcting any important term.

AI answers can be incomplete or mistaken. They do not change records unless the interface separately presents and confirms an authorized action.

Expected result: Birdseye returns a grounded response or explains that it cannot answer from the available data and scope.

Troubleshooting and recovery

• Ask is absent or locked: AI Insights may not be enabled.
• The answer is too broad: name the track, metric, scope, range, and desired breakdown.
• Voice is unavailable: check operating-system microphone permission or use text.
• A help instruction conflicts with the screen: follow the current labeled screen and report the conflict to Support.
