Set goals and understand pace

What you will accomplish

You will set an available target for the correct scope and compare actual results with its pace.

Who can do this

Owners and Admins can manage goals. Other users can see goal cards when their access includes them.

Before you start

Confirm the metric definition, target period, and whether the goal belongs to the organization or one rooftop.

Set or update a goal

1. Open the account menu.
2. Select Config.
3. Select Goals.
4. Select the organization or rooftop scope.
5. Select the available metric or goal type.
6. Enter the target and period fields shown.
7. Select the save action.
8. Confirm the saved goal in the list or card.

Read pace

1. Open Home or the relevant View.
2. Find the goal card.
3. Read actual, target, elapsed period, and pace together.
4. Confirm that the card uses the same scope and period as the configured goal.

Pace is a comparison based on progress through a period; it is not a guarantee of the final result.

Expected result: the saved goal appears for its configured period and scope, and eligible Home or Views surfaces can compare actual progress with that target.

Troubleshooting and recovery

• Goals is absent: your role is not Owner/Admin.
• A goal card is empty: verify target, scope, connected metric, and period.
• Actual differs from expectation: align the metric definition, scope, and date field.
