Step-by-step guideWebOwner / Admin

Review the write-back queue

What you will accomplish

You will configure eligible connection behavior, approve or reject pending corrections, dispatch approved work, and recover failed deliveries.

Who can do this

Owners and Admins can manage write-back.

Before you start

Write-back can modify a source system. Confirm the connection owner, permitted fields, and desired operating mode before approval.

Configure operating mode

  1. Open Account menu → Config → Connect your data.
  2. Select Write-back.
  3. Under Operating mode, find the connection.
  4. Select its mode.
  5. For an eligible REST connection, select Configure target.
  6. Enter the required target information.
  7. Select Save target.

The page identifies unsupported connections as REST connections only where appropriate.

Review and dispatch

  1. Under Pending, read the record, field, old value, new value, and connection.
  2. Select Approve only after verifying the change.
  3. Select Reject for an incorrect or unauthorized change.
  4. Select Dispatch now when approved items should be sent.
  5. Read the sent, retrying, and dead-letter counts.

Recover a failed delivery

  1. Open Dead-letter.
  2. Read the last error.
  3. Correct the source connection or target.
  4. Select Retry.
  5. Check Signals if the failure also surfaced there.

Expected result: approved changes move through sent, retrying, or dead-letter status according to the real dispatch result; rejected changes are not dispatched.

Troubleshooting and recovery

  • Nothing is pending: there are no changes awaiting approval.
  • Configure target is unavailable: only eligible REST connections expose it.
  • A retry fails: resolve the reported target, authentication, validation, or network issue before retrying again.
