Use Signals and push notifications on mobile
What you will accomplish
You will open the Signals inbox, act on an eligible Signal, and diagnose mobile push permission.
Who can do this
iOS and Android users with Signals access can follow this guide.
Before you start
A push notification is a delivery channel; the Signal in Birdseye is the source item. Check the inbox even when no push arrived.
Use Signals
- Tap the bell or Signals tab.
- Tap the available source or status filter.
- Tap an actionable Signal row.
- Read its context.
- Tap an available acknowledge, assignment, comment, or loop action.
- Enter the requested information.
- Tap the confirmation action.
Watch alert rows can be informational and may not open a detail screen.
Check push status
- Tap the header avatar.
- Under Notifications, read the status.
- If blocked, tap Open Settings and allow Birdseye notifications.
- If failed, tap Retry.
- If configuration is missing, install a newer app build.
Expected result: Signals remain available in the app regardless of push permission, while an enabled device can receive only the notifications admitted by product behavior and preferences.
Troubleshooting and recovery
- No push arrived: open Signals, then review personal preferences and device status.
- A notification opens the wrong context: return to Signals and locate it by source and time.
- One device is missing pushes: check Account on that device.
