Configure notifications, devices, and daily briefing

What you will accomplish

You will configure personal notification thresholds, quiet hours, and temporary mute settings; check mobile device status; distinguish the Home briefing from a delivered notification; and review administrator delivery health.

Who can do this

All users can manage their personal preferences and mobile device. Only an Owner can enable or disable the workspace's daily Home briefing. Owners and Admins can open delivery health, but only an Owner can redrive a failed notification.

Before you start

Distinguish a Signal existing in Birdseye from a notification reaching a channel. Delivery depends on the Signal type, product behavior, personal threshold, quiet hours or mute state, device permission, and delivery health.

Set personal preferences

  1. Open the account menu.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Select Voice & Alerts.
  4. Under Notifications, select a threshold for Push.
  5. Select a threshold for Email.
  6. Select a threshold for In-app toast.
  7. To suppress push and in-app toast during a recurring time window, enable Quiet hours.
  8. If Quiet hours is enabled, select its Start time.
  9. Select its End time.
  10. To pause push and in-app toast temporarily, select a choice under Mute.

Each change saves immediately; there is no separate Save button. While the Email row says Arriving soon, its selection is saved but does not turn on email delivery.

Expected result: the changed control remains selected after its save finishes. Quiet hours and Mute affect push and in-app toast; they do not remove a Signal from the Signals inbox.

Configure the daily Home briefing

The daily briefing is a card on Home, not a scheduled push or email.

  1. Sign in as an Owner.
  2. Open the account menu.
  3. Select Settings.
  4. Select Workspace.
  5. Find Daily briefing on the home screen.
  6. Enable or disable the switch.

When enabled, Birdseye generates the briefing at most once per day when someone opens the app. It does not have a promised delivery time.

Check a mobile device

  1. In the mobile app, tap the avatar.
  2. Under Notifications, read the status.
  3. If status is blocked, tap Open Settings and allow notifications in the device settings.
  4. If enrollment failed, tap Retry.
  5. If the build is missing configuration, install a newer Birdseye build.

Review delivery health

  1. On the web, open Account menu → Config.
  2. Select Notifications.
  3. Review delivery health for push, in-app, and email over the last seven days.
  4. Open the delivery log.
  5. Read the channel, status, and failure details.
  6. If you are an Owner and a failed row offers Redrive, select it only after reviewing the failure.

Troubleshooting and recovery

  • No Watch push arrived: check Signals, then preferences, mobile permission, and delivery health.
  • The daily briefing is missing: an Owner should verify the Workspace switch, then open Home. The briefing is generated on app use and is not a delivered notification.
  • Email is selected but nothing arrives: if the Email row says Arriving soon, delivery is not active yet.
  • One device works and another does not: check Account status on the affected device.
